19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev secured his first trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has had a challenging season, winning just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and issues with his serving in particular - led to him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with long-time mentor Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
It is the player's maiden trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface since that period of that year.
Victory also signifies the Russian has won 21 championships at 21 various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is particularly special," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my child her name, because the initial championship I got when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his last six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's defensive strategy and recurring outbursts on court had caused observers to doubt if his capacity to play at the highest level was finished.
But the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and perform positively, backed up by an improved serve.
He fought back from a break down in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, winning 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial tour victory, took control to push for a decider.
The opponent saved four early opportunities in a competitive final set before the champion won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured victory with a point at the net, with his opponent unable to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
